HBCU Legacy of Leadership

From Dr. King to Kamala Harris, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) produce Black American leaders and legends who advance our society. This panel discussion will explore the origin story of HBCUs, how they are critical to the health of our communities, and how local civil rights leaders like Roy Wilkins and Marvel Cook advocated for HBCUs in the North. Make Your Own Beeswax Wraps

 

Join instructor Cara Corey in her mission to save money and reduce plastic waste by learning how to make your own natural reusable food wraps with fabric and melted beeswax. Reusable beeswax wraps fold up around sandwiches and other foods in place of disposable plastic wrap. They wash clean with cold water and the antimicrobial properties of the beeswax keeps fruits and vegetables super fresh for much longer than plastic. Fifth Annual Car Show

Join the St. Croix Valley community at Heppner’s Auto Body for their fifth annual car show. Enjoy a variety of classic cars, music and free food. Who’s to say schoolwork isn’t fun? With the Wayzata Community Ed STEM Club classes, your child will develop their problem solving, critical analysis and peer collaboration skills, all while learning about mechanical engineering basics!
