FamilyMeans Nature Memories Open House

 

Join us at Belwin's Education Site for a joint event hosted by Belwin Conservancy and FamilyMeans. Designed for persons with memory loss and their caregivers, this event will feature live music, nature-inspired arts activities, short guided nature walks and bird watching. Poet Zoë Bird, creator of the Alzheimer’s Poetry Project Minnesota, will also be present, along with musician Andrea Stern, courtesy of Compas. Better Place Forests St. Croix Valley Open House

Better Place Forests is creating America’s first conservation memorial forests. The organization’s forests are natural, sustainable alternatives to cemeteries for people who choose cremation.

Scandia History Series: Historic Walking Tour of the Scandia Village Center

Ever pondered the stories behind Scandia's historic buildings? What businesses flourished on Olinda Trail and Oakhill Road in the early 1900s--and have you heard our city's tales of bank robbery, fire and tornado? Join us at the Scandia Creamery for a short presentation on historic Mainstreet Architecture from Ted Lentz--the preservation architect who oversaw the State Capitol restoration in St. Paul--followed by a walking tour of historic downtown sites ending with lunch at Meister's Bar & Grill. Stillwater COMMUNITY SHOWCASE & JOB FAIR 2022

The 2022 Greater Stillwater Chamber Community Showcase returns on Saturday, April 9th. An event designed to connect local businesses with the community! The Community Showcase includes exhibitors from local businesses, entertainment, kids activities and demonstrations. A fun-filled community and family event that you don't want to miss!
This family-friendly event is FREE to attend and will include local businesses

Belwin Bison Festival

Fun activities for all ages. 5k Run with the Bison at 9:00 a.m. (fun trail run prior to the bison’s arrival), then live music, eco-arts, food trucks, and the bison release from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

9:00 a.m.: Run with the Bison

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Festival

$10 per car.

Midwinter Family Fun

View the stars and moon with Minnesota Astronomical Society members, meet a raptor from Carpenter Nature Center, and enjoy arts/ecological activities and a campfire with s’mores.

Belwin’s Education Center and the Joseph J. Casby Observatory will be open.

$10 per car.
