Family Funday: Groundhog Day Celebration

Join the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board to celebrate Groundhog Day. Get the kids outfitted for a day partially outside, partially inside with fun crafts, games and activities. Hike the surrounding North Mississippi River Regional Park with a naturalist in search of those weather predicting woodchucks and see if we’ll get six more weeks of winter after all. Come join the 23rd Annual Stupor Bowl! This is the longest Messenger Run Alley Cat Race in the US. Travel Adventures and Food

Join us at Stillwater Public Library on Wednesday, February 26 at 6:30 p.m. for Travel Adventures and Food. Enhance your winter armchair travel reading with travel adventure stories and a sample of an international recipe.  We will hear stories and see photos from two former Peace Corps volunteers: Abbey Weiler, who volunteered in Thailand from 2017 - 2019, and Joshua Koepp, who volunteered in Guinea from 2016 - 2019.  River Market Co-op will provide samples and discuss a recipe from our international cookbook collection.   Read more about Travel Adventures and Food

Pop-Up Book Club for Adults

We invite you Stillwater Public Library on Monday, February 24 at 6:30 p.m. for Pop-Up Book Club for adults, with the theme of Looking Ahead in the 21st Century. Join library staff and neighbors for a thoughtful community discussion of our global world. Read one or more titles from our suggested list of four, and we will gather in the library for an evening of lively and insightful conversation. We will prepare focused questions based on the selected nonfiction books.

Legofy Yourself - Create Your Own Minifigure for kids 11+

Join us at Stillwater Public Library on Saturday, February 22 at 1:00 p.m. for Legofy Yourself - Create Your Own Minifigure. Let’s make minifigures! In this fun program, you’ll get the chance to decorate your own minifigure made out of resin. Learn the process of mixing resin and epoxy, and design to your heart’s content. For ages 11 and up.
