"Cody's Dash for Down Syndrome"
2018 “Cody’s Dash for Down Syndrome” is on Sat. June 16th at Central Park in Hopkins. Our event is a 5K run/walk family event, with a kid’s dash, kid’s games, face painting, balloon artists, FREE Dilly Bars, live music, food trucks and much more!!! All of the proceeds from our event support the FREE therapeutic, educational, and social programs for children and adults with Down syndrome, at “Gigi’s Playhouse” in St. Louis Park. Felt Collage Class for Kids (Grades K-5)
Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Wednesday, June 13 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. for Felt Collage Class for Kids (Grades K-5). Explore line, shape and color while making a bright felt collage based on the paintings of 20th century Austrian artist, Friedensreich Hundertwasser. We will explore the textures of different textiles and how to manipulate those materials when making a collage. Teens Teach STEM to Kids!
Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Thursdays in June and July for Teens Teach STEM to Kids! Each week, a short STEM activity will be led by trained teen volunteers at 10:30 a.m. and repeated at 11:00 a.m. Activities are best for ages 6-10. No late starts.
Program is free and registration is not required, but space is limited. These programs are in partnership with Bayport Library where similar activities will be offered weekly on Wednesdays. Read more about Teens Teach STEM to Kids!

Invasive Plant Blitz at Fish Creek
Help protect our newest preserve by searching for and marking invasive plants for removal! Learn Ramsey County CWMA early detection species and use the EDDMapS App on your smart phone to report! Species include wild parsnip, Oriental bittersweet, narrow-leaf bittercress, common tansy and Japanese hedge parsley. Parsnip may cause burns; long pants, closed-toe footwear, tall socks, gloves and a long sleeved shirt are highly recommended. Read more about Invasive Plant Blitz at Fish Creek
MOTHERS DAY WILDLIFE STROLL
(FOR ALL AGES, CHILDREN, WITH ADULT)
Take your Mom and/or Grandma for a Nature Walk! Learn about some Wildlife Moms on the pond as you explore on the trails with the Naturalist. Will the ducks and geese Mommas still be laying on their eggs in the nest, or will the babies be hatched? Let’s find out! Create a special Mother’s Day card for your Mom, your Grandma, or your Baby to help you remember this special day. Dads are welcome too!
