A Kid’s Guide to Writing Short Stories (Grades 4-7)

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Saturday, February 24 from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM for A Kid’s Guide to Writing Short Stories. Are you the kind of person who can tell stories that keep your friends on the edge of their sleeping bags? Then join us and explore different ways to come up with story ideas, and then shape them into engaging, fun stories - complete with characters, plot, and setting - that you can share with all your friends! Santa and Albert's Holiday Play at Bachman's on Lyndale

Albert the Elf has been admiring the skills of his favorite superheroes and is eager to become one himself! But when Super Rudolph - a popular Christmas toy and Albert's desired sidekick - is in high demand and short supply, Albert's superhero dreams are at risk. Will our favorite elf get everything he wants this Christmas, or give up on his dream and turn in his cape? The Magic of Reading Magic Show is an interactive and engaging show featuring comedy and audience participation. Hudson Working Sheepdog Competition

If you're an animal-lover, and enjoy competition as well, the Wisconsin Working Stock Dog Association's 31st Annual Labor Day Trials are something you'll want to see. Witness some of the best shepherds and sheepdogs in the country compete for the title of "Top Dog" in one of the most beautiful settings anywhere in Minnesota or Wisconsin. You will be amazed at what these dogs can do, how they work using their own talents and in partnership with their handlers to gather sheep and move them with care and precision over hills, around gates and obstacles and into pens. Caramelpalooza: A celebration of all things caramel!

It's the 6th annual Caramelpalooza festival! Event features free dessert sauce tastings, homemade caramel apples, caramel corn with bacon, 15 kinds of caramel confections, live music all day, appearance by CaramElvis, petting zoo, entertainment for kids, "Creepy Corners" where you can take selfies with costumed characters, hot chocolate and hot food on site.
