Take the Family to the Lake Elmo Fourth of July Parade

Finn and Elliot Rutledge celebrate America with an all-American sweet treat.

When there’s ice cream involved, it will never rain on your parade. Or, at least, it won’t be as bad if it does. For a good time, check out the 30th Annual Lake Elmo Fourth of July parade put on by the city of Lake Elmo. Participants can decorate parade floats however they want, and floats can be just about anything from strollers to lawn tractors. Like a pot of gold at the end of a summer rainbow, this parade leads to the Lake Elmo Rotary Club’s annual Ice Cream Social.

The Rotary Club has been holding this event for a long time, serving hundreds of people each year. The ice cream is free, and the selection of toppings leaves little left to be desired. What’s ice cream without colorful sprinkles on the Fourth of July?

Bring the family and join the local fun. Watch the parade, eat some ice cream and spend the summer surrounded by neighbors, friends and family.
