Live music, local food and classic cars make Cruisin’ on the Croix a summer hit.

On every other Wednesday evening during the summer, hundreds of new and vintage cars are on display at Stillwater’s Lowell Park as part of the Cruisin’ on the Croix car show, a family-friendly event that showcases beautifully restored classics from the ’60s and ’70s (and even some from the ’30s) alongside the newest, sleekest models from the past few decades.

“If you’ve got a cool car, it’s in the show,” lead organizer Frank Fabio says. “We just want everybody to come down and have a good time.”

The first 200 cars to show up receive a collectable dash plaque, but the event has gotten so popular that “we run out every time,” Fabio says. The free event also includes live music from 5 to 8 p.m., and a variety of local food and beverage vendors.

The Cruisin’ on the Croix Hot Rod and Vintage Car Show takes place every other Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. through September 14, in Lowell Park, 100 Water St. N., Stillwater. For more information, visit their facebook page here.
