Frozen Flannel Bonspiel

Be a part of this second annual outdoor curling and bonspiel event. Participants will enjoy traditional curling experiences inlcuding learn to curl sessions and curling contests. There will also be ice skating. Beer and non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased from the ice bar along with Aamodts hot apple cider and snacks from G.I. Joe’s Food Truck. Bagpipes will accompany the march of the bonspiel teams at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Festivities will last until 6 p.m. that day and from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday. Frozen Gnome Fat Tire Challenge

Big Ring Flyers are a race team and cycling club based in Hudson, Wis. Members want to encourage bike riding all year long. So get outdoors to check out or compete in this fat tire bike racing event. Categories include a competitive race class as well as an open ride class, plus fat tire bike demonstrations. Food and beer will be available for purchase. Afton Alps Opening Day

Minnesota’s premier family-friendly winter resort, Afton Alps, is opening for the much-anticipated ski and snowboard season on Friday, November 22 at 3:30 p.m. To celebrate, Afton Alps will offer s’mores and hot cocoa, food trucks, live music, hat-making and much more until the resort closes at 8 p.m. Opening day rates will be $39, or $34 with the Preferred Program.
