On Mother’s Day weekend, pottery lovers and ceramic artists from across the country will flock to Chisago County for the 24th annual Pottery Studio Tour and Sale. Seven establishments in the Upper St. Croix River Valley open their doors May 6–8 for this three-day celebration of handmade art.

A competitive swimmer since adolescence, she learned self-discipline from her swimming coach, Brian Luke—a trait that’s empowered her to take control of her career and do what she loves. And through her participation on Stillwater’s synchronized swimming team in the early 2000s, she learned women can be more powerful when they join forces.
