At St. Croix Valley Magazine, we’re about celebrating our neighbors and communities with each and every issue and Instagram post. But each year, we set aside a whole month for celebrating the créme de la créme in our “Best of” issue.

Big River Farms is a St. Croix Valley certified organic vegetable farm comprising, according to Minnesota Food Association programs manager Laura Hedeen, about 30 tillable acres. Small but mighty, these 30 acres have a huge impact on the lives of many Minn.
The county fair brings communities together to create a fun environment and celebrate people who make a difference. While most people's experience ends when they leave the fair, for the Fairest of the Fair, the experience lasts the entire year.
Muslims in the St. Croix Valley and throughout the east metro will soon have a beautiful, brand new house of worship. Construction on a mosque in Afton began in 2017 and was set to open this past summer. Plans had been in the works for almost a decade.
