Art fair season has arrived, and the St. Croix Valley has no shortage of fantastic options to view, appreciate and purchase art. Between the St. Croix Art Fair and Afton Art in the Park, art-lovers are sure to feel inspired all month long.
About five years ago, Marine on St. Croix took over the beloved St. Croix Art Fair. This year, the fair will be held the third week of September. Expect roughly 100 artists, all bringing their unique talents to the fair. Artists include painters, potters and photographers.
Last year’s new additions—like beer tastings and kids’ activities—will be back again this year, so there’s plenty to look forward to for the whole family.
Another favorite, Afton Art in the Park, returns for its 40th anniversary. Art, crafts, music and food are all highlights of this annual art fair. About 10,000 guests are expected throughout the weekend run of the festival, and over 90 artists will be featured.
The Afton Museum will also host a wine & beer garden and Adirondack chair auction in partnership with Art in the Park. All the proceeds will go toward the Afton Historical Museum so get ready to support both art and history.
