This special edition of St. Croix Valley Magazine is one of my favorite issues of the year—we get to celebrate the people, places and things that make the Valley such a unique place to live, work and visit.
This is an issue meant to last; to be picked up year-round; to spark conversations with your neighbors, friends and family around the Valley. Whether it’s left on the kitchen counter or loaned to out-of-town guests who want to bounce around the Valley, it is a lasting issue created to inspire our readers.
Without further ado, congratulations to our finalists and winners! Check out the full list of finalists and winners on page 26. Also in St. Croix Valley Magazine’s special Best of edition, we’re honoring the great sights—and a few personal favorites—around the Valley. From Teddy Bear Park in downtown Stillwater to Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue in Somerset, Wisconsin, there are many special places to visit around town.
We’re also celebrating the unique ways in which our community gives back to one another. On page 18, writer Staci Perry Mergenthal chats with a few of St. Croix Valley Magazine’s Editorial Advisory Board members, who serve our magazine in a multitude of ways. And on page 22, writer Daniel Huss takes a behind-the-scenes look at Hudson’s Booster Days, a community celebration with lasting community ties—the event dates back to the 1950s!
So, thank you, readers. Without you, we would not have such a unique place to call home. We couldn’t do it without you!
See you soon, readers!
