Kinetic Sculpture Workshop: Build a Mobile or Windchime

Saturday, May 9 | 1:00-4:00pm | $50 enrollment

Just in time for Mother’s Day, build your own mobile or windchime. Take this class with mom, or surprise her with a new gift! A variety of different materials will be provided with the enrollment fee (wire, sticks, glass, mirrors, shells, etc.), but feel free to also bring your own objects to incorporate into your kinetic sculpture (photographs, animal bones, bells, etc.

Workshop leader Samantha Leopold-Sullivan creates visceral work in dialogue with industrial spaces, deepening self-understanding and reflection within the viewer. She holds an MFA in Sculpture/Dimensional Studies from Alfred University and a BA from Macalester College in Art and Environmental Studies. Her work can be seen at Franconia Sculpture Park, Sculpture Trails Outdoor Museum, and Salem Art Works.
