Nature lovers or even those casually curious about nature take heed.

Nature lovers or even those casually curious about nature take heed. If you missed The Hidden Life of Trees: What they feel, How they Communicate, published in 2016, it’s not too late. While it’s abundantly clear that trees don’t live like humans, they are alive. They attract and defend, cooperate and compete, they even scream! Author Peter Wohlleben, a German forester who has received many accolades for his distinctive approach to writing about nature brings his extensive research together here in very readable language. This book has my heart and it likely will have yours too. Your walks in the woods will never be the same.

And if you’ve already read and loved this book, you’re in luck. It’s the first in Wohlleben’s Mysteries of Nature trilogy. The second book in the trilogy, The Inner Life of Animals, was published in 2017; and the third, The Secret Wisdom of Nature, was just published in March of last year.
