Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Wednesday, April 11 from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm for Immigration in Minnesota. Presented by the Department of Human Services Resettlement Program Office, this training covers the basics of the refugee journey from the refugee camp through the extensive security vetting process to U.S. arrival. The presentation clarifies the legal definition of who is eligible to have refugee status, describes the Refugee Admissions System, the role of resettlement agencies, the community and the State of Minnesota. We will discuss the different cultures and populations who are currently in Minnesota with refugee status and how current changes in federal policy will affect Minnesota in the future.

Program is free and no registration is necessary.
