In its inaugural 99 Beers in 99 Cities ranking, livability.com put Stillwater at No. 17 on its list of the best cities in the United States for craft beer. The ranking, based on consumer data and input from beer experts, cited Stillwater’s growing local brewery industry and its draw as a picturesque tourism destination.
The list mentions the popular Maple Island Brewing and Lift Bridge Brewing Co., and selects the Lift Bridge Irish Coffee Stout as the best beer in Stillwater. There’s really no better way to celebrate than to head to the Irish Coffee Stout release party March 5. The day-long bash will include live music from several acts, dancing, Irish food from Patriot’s Tavern, prizes and, of course, kegs of the beer of the hour and 750 ml bottles for purchase.
The Irish Coffee Stout is inspired by Irish coffee and combines a sweet milk stout, a whiskey barrel-aged stout and a coffee blend for a rich and smooth brew. The release party offers a great opportunity to get out and see your neighbors, enjoy Stillwater’s top-notch beer scene, and get in the mood for St. Patrick’s Day.
