To kick off Halloween, Stillwater has created the Trick-or-Treat on Main Street event. The party runs from noon to 4 p.m. on October 24 and 25. Sponsored by the Independent Business Association of Main Street Stillwater, this two-day salute to the season gives children an opportunity to try out their costumes before the big night. Participating shops and restaurants on Main Street will have treats and goodies for those dressed for the occasion.
On October 24, the Afton Area Business Association will host its annual Trick-or-Treat Trail. This spooky precursor to Halloween, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., allows kids to follow St. Croix Trail through the historic city of Afton. The trail starts at Sail Away Café and ends at Selma’s Ice Cream Parlour. This event is for ages 10 and under and also features pumpkin decorating, crafts, games, free cider and other treats.
