Every Thursday, Hudson’s Lakefront Park lights up with free concerts. With the St. Croix River as a backdrop, guests are treated to some of the best music around—including the Minnesota Orchestra, the St. Croix Valley Symphony and the River City Chorale. “We get a really good turnout,” says Deb Andrews of the city of Hudson. In fact, you might want to get there a little early: In past years, the Minnesota Orchestra has attracted more than 1,000 spectators. So bring your own chair or picnic blanket, put on that bug spray, and cozy up for a night of sweet music.
July 6: Minnesota Orchestra, presented by the William Phipps Foundation.
July 9: Waxtones (1960s rock and roll)
July 23: St. Croix Valley Symphony (Orchestra)
July 30: River City Chorale (Choir)
August 6: Minnesota Jazz Orchestra (Big Band)
All Thursday concerts begin at 7 p.m. at Lakefront Park Bandshell, 505 First St., Hudson
