On a series of Wednesdays throughout the summer, a crowd will gather in Stillwater’s Lowell Park to enjoy classic cars.

 

Afton residents have been marking the start of summer with their popular Strawberry Festival since 1884. The festival originated as a way to honor the rich heritage of strawberry crops that have been growing in the area since the 1800s.

 

During the summer, with ample sunshine and warm breezes coming off of the river, the St. Croix Valley naturally gets into a festive mood. So with the Fourth of July around the corner, we’re sure to find hometown parades and fireworks in the park up and down the river.
