Once known primarily for the Ironman World Championships, triathlon races are now held throughout the country, attracting veteran and new triathletes alike—and kids can join in on the fun, too.

The St. Croix Valley Triathlon in Hudson began in 2000 and has since become one of the most popular triathlons in the Midwest. The one-day event offers both an Olympic and sprint course, making it an ideal triathlon (swimming, running and cycling) for both beginner and experienced triathletes. In addition to the adult race, the triathlon offers a kids’ course for younger triathletes.

After the race, there will be an awards ceremony and a post-race meal. Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners in each age category. Additionally, the top three overall male and female athletes, top three relay teams, top three Clydesdales, and top three Athenas will be awarded. Please note that recipients must be present to win.
