BCEA Annual Conference
Interested in finding out more about what is being done to stop breast cancer? The annual Breast Cancer Education Conference on October 7 features renowned experts and resources on the latest efforts in breast cancer research, nutrition, care and prevention. This year, segments from Dr. Carol Lange, Kelly Grosklags on survivorship issues and Dr. Stuart Bloom on triple-negative breast cancer, will be featured. $20–$650.

Free Breast Cancer Screenings

Nothing could be more important during breast cancer awareness month than remembering to be checked for breast cancer, especially for women older than 40. For the entire month of October, Sage Screening Programs are offering free breast cancer screening, including a clinical breast exam and mammogram. Sage Screening Programs are part of the Minnesota Department of Health and receive funds from the State of Minnesota and Susan G. Komen. Visit health.state.mn.us to find a nearby location.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Join the American Cancer Society on October 7 for the Making Strides of the Twin Cities walk. This family-friendly event gives everyone the chance to come together with survivors, caregivers and those from all walks of life to help save lives.
