Marine Village School Production of Annie KIDS

Students in grades K-4 will delight audiences with this beloved tale of pluck and possibility.

Based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, 'Annie KIDS' features everyone’s favorite optimist on her quest to find her parents. Beginning Photography Class for Kids (9-14 years old)

A picture is worth a thousand words! This class (updated and improved for 2023) will empower students to begin to capture images that express themselves in relation to the world around them. Students will be introduced to technical and aesthetic aspects of photography, providing them with the foundation for life-long enjoyment and expression.

This class is on two consecutive Saturdays from 9–11:30 a.m. each Saturday (February 4 and February 11).

Bonus: During class each student will choose a digital camera of their choice to own which will keep them shooting photos even after the class ends. Cameras are name brand models updated for this class that have been gifted through the kindness of others.

Special Note: Adults are invited to share in the fun of learning a new skill with a younger person and will learn tips on how to encourage their kids to further develop this newly acquired skill. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. There is no charge for the additional person, just complete the registration for one adult and note the name and age of student photographer in the comment section of the registration.

Gingerbread House Building Contest

As part of Stillwater's Hometown for the Holidays Candy Town weekend, the community is invited to pull out their rolling pins, grab a frosting bag and build gingerbread houses for submission in our first ever Gingerbread Building Contest. The contest is free and open to all ages and skill levels.

Entries will be on display from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at the Water Street Inn Ballroom. Open to the public for viewing and voting.

World Snow Sculpting Championship 2023

The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Stillwater, is honored to host the 2nd World Snow Sculpting Championship competition sanctioned by the Association Internationale de Sculpture sur Neige et Glace based in Finland. Teams from around the world will travel to Stillwater, Minnesota to create amazing snow sculptures while competing for prize money and the title of the World Champion. This will be a judged event and will include social events, activities, ceremonies, the people's choice award, and will be fun for the whole family.
