Beekeeping 101 with Bone Lake Meadows Apiary

This experiential class will cover the art and science of keeping bees in northern climates. The one-day intensive is designed for beginning beekeepers and will provide hands-on experience, focusing on the changing tasks that are involved with keeping bees, and will include one-on-one time with the hives, guided by Mike Mackiewicz from Bone Lake Meadows Apiary. Students will also learn about different flowers and pollinators and will help build and decorate bee boxes that will be used at the Franconia Apiary.
