Valentines Concert

Celebrate love and romance at the Squire House Gardens Valentines Concert on Saturday, February 9. Reservations are open for the annual musical event that takes place upstairs at the historic property on the main street of Afton, Minnesota. Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Saturday, January 19 at 10:30 a.m. for Gnome Sweet Gnome. Take your gnome friend with you, wherever you may go. Using a simple pattern, cut out and hand-sew an outfit to match your gnome’s personality. You’ll never be bored with your gnome friend by your side. Presented by the Textile Center.

Toddler & Preschool Drive-In Movie

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Thursday, January 17 at 10:15am for Toddler & Preschool Drive-In Movie. Ready for a Drive-In Movie?  Bring a box that your child can sit in. We will have craft supplies on hand to rev-up your child’s “car”!  We will have a small supply of boxes on hand so don’t let not having one stop you from joining us. Chinese Dragon Lantern Art for kids

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Saturday, January 12 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. for Chinese Dragon Lantern Art for kids. Prepare for Chinese New Year by making a colorful dragon lantern! Learn to draw a Chinese style dragon then color it as you wish with bright and metallic crayons. We will then construct a colorful lantern shape around our drawing with neon paper and add a handle for hanging. This art workshop is for children in grades K-5th. The Nutcracker presented by St. Croix Ballet

The Stillwater Nutcracker, now in its 28th year, is a family-friendly version, choreographed to the music of Tchaikovsky, and follows the traditional story line of the young girl named Clara and her Christmas dream. Our version includes a live narration and the exuberant dancing of children from the age of five through professional level dancers who grace the show with beauty and spirit.
