Go to college to be in the rodeo. That’s right: In addition to working toward their four-year degrees, every year at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo, more than 300 college students participate in professional rodeo performances. This year marks the 52nd anniversary of Frontier Days Rodeo, hosted by the UWRF rodeo club.
Last year’s club president Mitchell Devine will be the only bull rider from River Falls in this year’s performances, and he believes Frontier Days is the perfect weekend event for the whole community. “It brings everyone together,” he says. “A lot of work goes into the production, and there is a great camaraderie.” Don’t miss the top-five attractions at this one-of-a-kind showdown.
